Your Mission: Lead, Optimize, and Strengthen Operations
As an Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operational rhythm of plant and dispatch functions, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and service remain best-in-class.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee Plant Operations
Manage daily production, batching, dispatch coordination, and delivery operations to ensure efficient workflow and consistent performance.
Support Dispatch & Logistics
Work closely with dispatch teams to coordinate scheduling, routing, and delivery timelines to ensure customers receive reliable and on-time service.
Ensure Maintenance and Equipment Reliability
Coordinate preventative maintenance programs and oversee repairs for plant equipment and facilities, including mechanical, electrical, and infrastructure systems.
Deliver Excellent Customer Service
Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors and customers. Address operational challenges quickly and professionally to maintain trust and satisfaction.
Use Technology to Drive Performance
Leverage dispatch systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office to track production metrics, monitor operational performance, and identify improvement opportunities.
Lead and Develop Team Members
Supervise plant personnel, drivers, and operational staff while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Promote Safety and Quality
Ensure adherence to SRM’s 5 Principles: Safety, Quality, Kindness, Cleanliness, and being a Go-Getter, while maintaining compliance with DOT, environmental, and company safety standards.
Support Operational Efficiency and Cost Control
Monitor labor efficiency, equipment utilization, and operational costs while identifying opportunities to improve productivity and profitability.
What You Bring To The Table
Ready-Mix or Construction Experience (Preferred)
Understanding of ready-mix operations, batching, delivery coordination, or construction materials operations is strongly preferred.
Operations or Logistics Leadership
Experience managing fast-paced operations, logistics, dispatch coordination, or production environments.
Maintenance Awareness
Basic understanding of plant equipment, preventative maintenance practices, and facility upkeep.
Customer-Focused Mindset
Ability to maintain strong customer relationships, resolve challenges effectively, and support a service-focused operation.
Technology & Data Skills
Comfortable using Microsoft Office, dispatch systems, and reporting tools to track operations and communicate effectively.
Leadership and Accountability
3–5 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred. You lead with integrity, communicate clearly, and set high performance expectations.
