Your Mission & Key Responsibilities
As a Mine Planner, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining short-term, mid-term, and long-term mine plans that maximize resource recovery while supporting operational efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Develop and maintain mine plans, production schedules, and extraction sequences.
- Analyze geological, survey, and production data to support operational planning and decision-making.
- Design pit layouts, haul roads, stockpile locations, and mining phases.
- Monitor production performance and adjust plans as necessary to achieve operational goals.
- Collaborate with mine management, operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure successful plan execution.
- Ensure mine plans comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including environmental and safety requirements.
- Prepare reports, maps, presentations, and other planning-related documentation.
- Conduct reserve and resource evaluations and assist with forecasting production and material availability.
- Utilize mine planning, surveying, CAD, and GIS software to develop accurate mine models and designs.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost control across mining operations.

- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in mine planning, quarry operations, aggregates, or surface mining is preferred but not required.
- Recent graduates with relevant coursework, internships, co-op experience, or strong interest in mining and aggregate operations are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency with mine planning software, CAD software, GIS applications, and Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, geological information, and production data.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work in both office and field environments.
- Frequent walking on uneven terrain and active mining or quarry sites.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Combination of office and outdoor mining/quarry environments.
- Exposure to dust, noise, heavy equipment, and changing weather conditions.
- Travel between mine and quarry locations may be required.
