About the Role
We are seeking a Manufacturing Operator II (1st Shift) to join a leading global pharmaceutical manufacturer at its Fall River, MA facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI) or other regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environments, with strong knowledge of cGMP, SOP compliance, and safety standards.
This is a hands-on production role supporting daily manufacturing operations for MDI products under strict quality and safety standards. The position also involves collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Packaging, Maintenance, and Quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense raw materials and primary packaging materials according to work orders.
- Plan and execute production batches per manufacturing schedule.
- Perform cleaning and sanitation of the production area and equipment per SOPs.
- Operate manufacturing equipment and ensure preventive maintenance and calibration.
- Monitor production performance and document all activities in batch records and logbooks.
- Perform line clearance checks and ensure correct status labeling during all stages of production.
- Collaborate with Quality, Packaging, and Maintenance teams for process efficiency.
- Maintain strict adherence to cGMP, GDP, and safety procedures at all times.
- Participate in deviation, CAPA, and change control processes as needed.
- Wear appropriate PPE and respiratory protection equipment while on the production floor.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Supervisor.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Accredited college certificate or degree (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience (pharmaceutical or similar regulated industry preferred)
- Prior MDI manufacturing experience is a strong plus
- Basic knowledge of mechanical machinery and control systems
- Understanding of cGMP, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely
- Strong organizational and mathematical skills
- Team player with good communication and problem-solving abilities
Physical & Safety Requirements
- Frequent heavy lifting and bending required
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and occasionally up to 50 lbs using a hand truck
- Must be able to wear appropriate PPE and respiratory devices, including half-face/full-face respirators or supplied-air systems
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental guidelines
