We are looking for individuals who desire to be on the ground floor of a breakthrough technology and help build a world class supply chain. This strategic sourcing manager will work closely with Hardware Engineering, Technical Program Management, Finance and Technical Operations during the product development cycle from prototype to mass production to ensure successful product launch. The person will lead sourcing activities related to new technologies and innovative manufacturing processes to realize design intent while optimizing quality versus cost, driving sustainability and championing continuous improvement throughout the lifecycle of products. CM Ops Manager Responsibilities, 80% of the role:Drive early supplier engagement in New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Technology Introduction (NTI) programsEstablish supplier selection criteria, evaluate suppliers, manage the supplier selection process, and drive final supplier selection in partnership with hardware engineering, manufacturing design engineering, and supplier quality teamNegotiate master agreements and SOW with suppliers to establish best-in-class pricing, flexibility, quality, delivery, payment, warranty and service termsLead design and cost trade-off conversation during development stages to influence production design and manufacturing processes for the best decision of the productDevelop and implement supplier performance measurement system and conduct periodic supplier business reviews with the management and cross functional teamInfluence the direction of suppliers' business investments and roadmaps to align with Meta's strategic goals for mechanical technology developmentLead total cost reduction program to achieve the lowest possible total cost which covers product cost, transportation cost, inventory cost and cost of qualityUtilizes should-cost models to inform negotiation strategies, identify cost reduction opportunities, and optimize supplier pricingCollaborate with cross functional teams within Meta and supply base to drive product and process improvementsBuilds relationships with peers and stakeholders on organization-wide initiatives, obtaining alignment on objectives and articulating strategy, with a focus on driving growth and innovation in mechanical categoriesProactively identifies new opportunities outside of their functional area and leads cross-functional organizational initiatives to drive innovation and growth in mechanical categoriesManage supplier scorecards and SOW contracts Program Manager Responsibilities, 20% of the role:PMP certification would be a plusCoordinate the CMM Ops team keeping us all on track for standard structure (i.e. Off-Site Action Follow-up, Supplier Briefs, Approval Outlook Dates, Upcoming Events, etc.)Must-Have Skills:Lead RFX (Request for Proposal, Quotation, or Information) processes to identify and engage with potential suppliers, ensuring competitive bidding and optimal contract termsProven track record of successfully leading RFX processes and negotiating contracts with suppliers3-5 years of progressive experience in supply chain, sourcing, or contract manufacturing management3 years of direct experience with contract manufacturing, including managing Asia-based suppliers* Progressive experience and thorough knowledge of supply chain, sourcing, and contract manufacturing managementDirect experience with Tier 1 manufacturers, including managing Asia-based suppliersExperience with consumer electronics, innovative manufacturing processes and mechanical technology developmentExperience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Technology Introduction (NTI) programsStrong negotiation skills (master agreements, SOW, pricing, flexibility, quality, delivery, payment, warranty, service terms)Ability to lead design and cost trade-off conversations during developmentExperience developing and implementing supplier performance measurement systemsExperience with supplier selection, evaluation, and managementExperience with cost reduction programs and should-cost modelingExperience managing supplier scorecards and SOW contractsStrong program management skills (coordinating teams, tracking actions, managing events and approvals)Experience operating in dynamic, high-volume, consumer electronics or similar environmentsStrong leadership and cross-functional teamwork skillsAbility to communicate and influence at all levels of managementExperience collaborating with hardware engineering, technical program management, finance, and technical operationsAbility to navigate ambiguity and prioritize multiple work streams Nice-to-Have Skills: Fluent in Mandarin Experience working with supply chains in India, fluent in Hindi or other Indian languages PMP certification SRI Tech Solutions is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, national origin or citizenship status or ethnic origin, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other occupationally irrelevant criteria.
