Position Overview
The Tax M&A Manager will lead and manage tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and other transactional projects. This role involves advising clients on tax structuring, due diligence, and integration strategies to optimize tax outcomes. You will work closely with partners, senior leadership, and clients across industries to deliver high-value solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Tax Due Diligence: Review and analyze tax implications of proposed transactions, including federal, state, and international considerations.
- Tax Structuring: Develop and implement tax-efficient structures for acquisitions, dispositions, and reorganizations.
- Client Advisory: Provide strategic tax advice to clients during negotiations and deal execution.
- Integration Planning: Assist clients with post-transaction tax integration and compliance.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise staff, ensuring quality and timely delivery of work.
- Collaboration: Work closely with audit, advisory, and legal teams to ensure seamless execution of transactions.
- Research & Compliance: Stay current on tax laws, regulations, and emerging trends impacting M&A transactions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or JD required.
- Experience:5 years of tax experience with a focus on M&A transactions.
- Prior experience in a public accounting firm or Big 4 environment preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws, partnership taxation, and corporate tax planning.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and project management abilities.
