A nationally known defense firm in the field of toxic tort litigation, is seeking an associate with three to five years of experience for its Philadelphia office. We seek an associate with experience in asbestos litigation, handling depositions and court appearances, as well, excellent research, writing and analytical skills, with an emphasis on preparation of legal briefs and motions. PA license required NJ/DE/WV a plus.
This firm specializes in defense of toxic torts, product liability, and general casualty insurance claims.
Position Overview:
The selected candidate will work on complex litigation matters and will be involved in all stages of case development, including:
- Conducting case evaluation and strategic analysis
- Working directly with fact and expert witnesses
- Drafting dispositive motions and other substantive pleadings
- Taking and defending depositions
- Managing case files and maintaining client communication
