Revenue Operations Specialist (Boston) / Senior Billing Specialist
Overview:
A leading global professional services organization is seeking a Revenue Operations Specialist or Senior Billing Specialist (depending on experience) to join its Boston office. This is a growth-driven opportunity, with two new hires being added to the team, offering exposure to a dynamic billing environment within a highly regarded firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the end-to-end billing cycle, including invoice preparation, editing, and submission
- Review and process client billing requests, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client guidelines and internal policies
- Generate and analyze proformas, identify discrepancies, and coordinate necessary updates
- Partner with internal teams (attorneys, finance, and e-billing) to resolve billing issues and ensure timely invoice delivery
- Handle billing corrections, re-submissions, and follow-up on rejected invoices
- Maintain accurate billing records and ensure compliance with financial processes and confidentiality standards
- Utilize billing systems to process transactions, troubleshoot issues, and provide reporting insights
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in billing, accounting, or finance within a professional services environment (law firm experience preferred)
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience with billing systems; Elite 3E strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Leveling:
- Open to early-career to more senior candidates, with leveling and title determined based on experience
Work Environment:
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite in Boston
Compensation:
- Salary range: $65,000 – $95,000, with flexibility up to $100,000 for more senior profiles
