Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Insurance Defense Attorney to join our litigation team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling a broad range of insurance defense matters, including personal injury, property damage, general liability, and professional liability claims. This role is fully remote and offers a competitive compensation package with bonus potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery.
- Represent clients in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Communicate effectively with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel.
- Develop case strategies and provide risk assessments.
- Collaborate with internal teams and contribute to firm-wide initiatives.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active bar license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (multi-state licensure preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
- Strong litigation and trial skills, including deposition and courtroom experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing deadlines and priorities.
