Duties
- Perform comprehensive floor cleaning and floor care using various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and mops to maintain pristine surfaces.
- Handle chemical agents safely and in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS), ensuring proper storage, handling, and disposal to maintain a safe environment.
- Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of furniture, cleaning supplies, and equipment to facilitate thorough cleaning operations.
- Assist with hotel housekeeping management by replenishing supplies, organizing storage areas, and supporting housekeeping staff as needed.
- Maintain sanitation standards across all public spaces, guest rooms, and back-of-house areas through regular cleaning routines such as vacuuming, dusting, and surface disinfecting.
- Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to cleanliness or room maintenance with excellent customer service skills.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently to ensure safety for guests and staff during any incident or emergency situation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial work within a hospitality environment is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and janitorial equipment operation is essential.
- Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while adhering to safety protocols and understanding SDS guidelines.
- Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing, walking, or bending.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills to assist guests effectively.
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety practices is advantageous.
- Previous experience with hotel housekeeping management or custodial supervision is a plus but not mandatory.
