Duties

• Perform comprehensive floor cleaning and maintenance using various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and mops to ensure pristine surfaces throughout the property.
• Handle chemical agents safely, following safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel emergency procedures to maintain a secure environment for staff and guests.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture, supplies, or equipment, ensuring proper manual handling techniques are followed.
• Support janitorial and custodial activities by performing sanitation tasks in guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and service spaces.
• Manage industrial cleaning duties as needed, including the use of specialized cleaning tools and chemicals for high-traffic or heavily soiled areas.
• Contribute to hotel housekeeping management by coordinating with team members to ensure timely cleaning schedules and quality standards are met.
• Ensure all cleaning procedures comply with safety regulations and hotel policies to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

Skills

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with a strong understanding of hospitality standards.
• Skilled in floor care techniques including vacuuming, buffing, and detailed cleaning of various surfaces.
• Knowledge of chemical handling procedures and familiarity with safety data sheets (SDS) for safe use of cleaning agents.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper manual handling practices.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members alike.
• Experience with cleaning equipment operation such as vacuums, steam cleaners, and industrial scrubbers.
• Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and sanitation protocols to ensure guest safety at all times.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
