Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and structural components using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks within building systems to improve efficiency.
- Conduct welding and residential painting as needed for repairs or aesthetic improvements around the property.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and generate detailed reports for management review.
- Supervise and coordinate external contractors or team members during complex repair projects or renovations, ensuring safety standards are met.
- Assist with facilities maintenance planning, including inventory management of parts and tools necessary for ongoing operations.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance within a hospitality or residential environment.
- Proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting and repair, including reading schematics and using testing devices like ohmmeters.
- Hands-on experience with welding techniques and residential painting projects.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control systems.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately.
