Manufacturing Project Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Manufacturing Project Manager to lead complex manufacturing initiatives from inception through completion. In this role, you will oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational excellence. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement, optimize processes, and foster cross-functional collaboration to meet production targets efficiently. Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of manufacturing programs, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget using methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and Lean Six Sigma.
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria; translate these into detailed project plans.
• Manage project lifecycle activities including planning, scheduling, risk management, quality assurance, and resource allocation using tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, or Primavera.
• Drive process improvement initiatives through techniques like Kaizen and root cause analysis to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
• Oversee cross-functional teams in program development, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across engineering, production, supply chain, and IT departments.
• Monitor project performance using earned value management and other metrics; report progress regularly to senior leadership while managing scope changes and resolving conflicts proactively.
• Support vendor management activities by negotiating contracts and overseeing IT infrastructure or ERP system implementations critical to manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience supervising manufacturing projects or programs within a fast-paced environment; technical project & program manager supervisory experience is highly desirable.
• Strong expertise in project management methodologies such as PMBOK or SAFe; proficient with project management software including Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello, or Smartsheet.
• Extensive knowledge of process mapping, business process modeling, requirements analysis, risk management, and cost control techniques like Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma.
• Demonstrated ability in team leadership, conflict management, negotiation, and facilitating meetings effectively across diverse teams.
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on scope management, time management, and project scheduling; experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) is a plus.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Excel data analysis or SAS; experience in vendor management and IT infrastructure projects is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly; adept at stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
