SDS Worker

Springbrook is looking for a Community Habilitation Worker to work with an individual receiving Self-Directed Services in the Utica, NY area.

The individual is in their 20's and is looking to work on the following items:

• Exploring their community to continue working on social skills
• Organization skills in their apartment
• Money management and budgeting skills
• Daily living skills like cooking, meal prep, tidying up and keeping their apartment clean, etc.

Some other things to know about the individual is that they love spending time with their cat, participating in art activities such as acrylic painting, watercolor, and wood working, watching TV shows like Criminal Minds, Law and Order: SVU and NCIS, listening to classic rock music, and going to cafes and libraries in their community. The individual is also LGBTQIA .

The starting pay rate will be $22/hr. The starting hours per week will be 8 with more to come. Hours can be split across multiple days!

The applicant must have a valid Driver's License. The individual does utilize a wheelchair, so there will be a driving aspect to the job to bring the individual into the community. There will be online trainings that need to be completed before beginning to work that will be provided by Springbrook.
