Position Overview
Our client, a well-established, collegial general practice law firm in York County, Maine, is seeking a motivated, personable, and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have 2–6 years of litigation and/or transactional real estate experience. Additional experience in corporate law, estate planning, or related practice areas is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in a range of litigation matters, including legal research, discovery, motion practice, and court appearances
- Draft, review, and prepare pleadings, motions, memoranda, briefs, and other legal documents
- Assist with residential and commercial real estate transactions, including document preparation and closing support
- Support entity formation, contract drafting, and corporate governance matters
- Provide practical legal advice and responsive client service across multiple practice areas
- Manage multiple active matters and deadlines with appropriate independence and judgment
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Maine State Bar, or eligibility for admission/waiver
- 2–6 years of relevant litigation and/or transactional real estate experience
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Client-focused mindset with high ethical standards and professionalism

Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
