What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at Spring Oak Management?

\n- Ensure that cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical in resident apartments and common areas of the Community.
- Coordinate all daily housekeeping services with Wellness Staff when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or recreational area.
- Clean resident apartments and common areas following standard operational procedures and safety guidelines.
- Cleans (dust, mop wet mop, sanitize, scrub, polish, wash windows and bathrooms in resident rooms and common areas.
- Turnover resident rooms, requiring furniture to be moved.
- Wash and fold laundry for the facility and residents; distribute clean linens and towels to residents and individual departments.
- Dispose of trash and waste, or other materials in a safe manner
- Cheerful personality
- Excellent Organizational skills
- Must be able to apply common sense and understanding in carrying out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
- The proper use of equipment and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Familiarize self with Material safety data sheets and Right-to-Know regulations and procedures including Universal Worker Precautions for all housekeeping chemicals and cleaning supplies.
- Ability to detect odors and see spots and spills and move housekeeping cart with cleaning equipment.
- Must attend in-service education programs as assigned.
- Genuine compassion for the elderly and an understanding of the aging process.
- Must respect resident's privacy and preferences regarding room arrangement, personal items and knock on doors prior to entering resident rooms.
- Patience and tack dealing with residents, families, visitors and co-workers.
- Must demonstrate overall positive image and attitude.
- Must be able to orally express oneself and communicate effectively with residents, families, staff and visitors of the community.
- Promotes loyalty to the community among staff, always generate a positive attitude
- Part time & Full-time.
$15 - $15 an hour
