Spring Glen Fresh Foods is now seeking a part time Market Clerk in Reading. PA. Work where you matter!
Part Time Hours: Thursday and Friday 2:00pm to 7:30pm
The Market Clerk provides friendly, efficient service to all market customers while upholding ServSafe standards and company policies. This role represents the company in a professional, courteous manner and supports daily market operations to ensure a clean, safe, and well‑stocked environment.
The duties listed below are representative of the types of responsibilities required for the Market Clerk role. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the organization:
- Follows all ServSafe, GMP, OSHA, and company safety requirements to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
- Adheres to food safety, legality, and quality standards, including GMPs, product quality checks, and food security procedures.
- Provides prompt, courteous, and professional service to all customers.
- Accurately rings up purchases using a cash register and responsibly handles all monetary transactions.
- Monitors and replenishes product levels in the market case to maintain adequate stock.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and visually appealing market stand at all times.
- Represents the company positively through professional conduct and appearance.
- Upholds hygiene and sanitation standards to ensure high product integrity.
- Follows all common safety practices and company rules.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the Regional Sales Manager.
This position requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language and have basic math skills in order to satisfactorily complete job requirements.
