Machine Operator

Spring Glen Fresh Foods in Ephrata, PA is now seeking 1st shift Machine Operators. Operate equipment in the preparation and packaging of food products. We are offering great benefits, stable work shifts, and a clean/ welcoming work environment. Work where you matter!

The Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining equipment used in the preparation and packaging of food products. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient production, consistent product quality, and compliance with all safety and food safety standards.

• Operates assigned equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies, SOPs, and quality standards.
• Complies with all GMP, OSHA, and food safety requirements to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Immediately reports any safety, security, mechanical, quality, or operational issues to the Production Lead, Supervisor, or other members of management.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area in compliance with USDA, GMP, BRC, FDA, HACCP, and PA Department of Agriculture standards, following proper chemical use and cleaning procedures.
• Fully understands and follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for assigned machinery and related processes.
• Assembles, disassembles, cleans, and sets up equipment as required for production runs.
• Accurately completes all required production and operator documentation as directed by the Production Lead or Supervisor.
• Supports continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet production needs.

While the duties above generally describe the job content, not all duties are performed continually or regularly (i.e., daily, weekly, etc.).  Duties performed are dependent upon the operation being supported.

• Previous experience operating or working near production machinery preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Dependable, proactive, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Basic math, reading, and communication skills necessary to follow instructions and complete documentation accurately.
