What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Specialist position at Spotlight?
At Spotlight, it’s our mission to craft and sustain a successful analyst relations (AR) program for our clients—and it’s the role of the Accounting Specialist to assist in that success. You will be responsible for supporting a small accounting team in daily operations, especially related to accounts receivable and bank account reconciliation, as well as other tasks/projects as assigned.

- An upbeat, fun, and engaging attitude
- Exposure to journal entry accounting, accrual basis accounting, and financial statements
- Familiarity with invoicing, cash collections, revenue recognition and sales tax reporting
- Excellent communication skills and style
- Works well and collaborates with internal accounting and finance teams, operations teams, and external clients
- Detail oriented and organized while adept at managing change in a fast moving and growing environment
- Comfortable in Excel/Google Sheets
- Relevant experience or accounting degree
- Experience with NetSuite a plus
