Duties
- Support bartenders by restocking bar supplies, garnishes, glassware, and beverages efficiently throughout shifts
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including bar cleaning, food preparation surfaces, and general tidiness to meet safety standards
- Buss tables and assist with clearing used dishes and glassware promptly to ensure a clean environment for guests
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, stock movement, and equipment setup with proper safety precautions
- Assist in food service operations by preparing simple food items and ensuring compliance with food industry safety standards
- Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for cash handling, order processing, and transaction accuracy
- Uphold venue beverage service standards by adhering to alcohol safety policies and ensuring responsible service at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely
- Knowledge of bar cleaning procedures, bussing protocols, and venue beverage service practices
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient cashiering and order management
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and inventory counts
- Experience in catering or food preparation enhances your ability to support diverse venue needs
- Understanding of food safety compliance standards specific to food service bars
- Excellent customer service skills that foster a positive guest experience
