Overview of Sporting JAX LLC

Sporting Club Jacksonville, or “Sporting JAX” is the club founded in 2020 by a local Jacksonville ownership group and named in collaboration with the First Coast community in 2023.


The club’s goal is to operate a men’s professional USL Championship club, a women’s professional USL Super League club and a USL Youth Academy through work with city and county authorities to develop a 15,000-capacity community stadium and training facilities to host the clubs in Northeast Florida.


The ownership group is led by successful business entrepreneur Ricky Caplin and includes sporting legends Tim Tebow and Fred Taylor, as well as experienced professional soccer executive Steve Livingstone and local community innovator Tony Allegretti. Additionally, UF women’s soccer coaching legend Becky Burleigh leads Sporting JAX’s efforts as a consultant to the women’s pro team.


The club is a community-oriented organization focused on providing opportunities for youth development, fostering competition, and delivering exceptional professional soccer experiences.


The club’s stadium and facilities will reach out beyond soccer to other sports and other sporting communities. Sporting JAX exists in part to advance soccer and an equal playing field in our community as well as provide a “sporting chance” for the underserved and marginalized.


POSITION OVERVIEW

Sporting JAX is seeking high-energy, competitive, and driven Ticket Sales Associates to join our Ticket Sales team for a 90-day contract period, with the opportunity to be hired full-time based on performance, culture fit, and business needs.


This role is designed for individuals who are self-starters, persistent in their approach, adaptable in a fast-paced environment, and enthusiastic about building a career in professional sports sales. The Ticket Sales Associate will be responsible for selling a full menu of ticket products for both Sporting JAX’s Men’s USL Championship team and Women’s Super League team while delivering a best-in-class fan experience.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Sell a full menu of ticket products including season tickets, partial plans, group tickets, and special event packages for both the Men’s USL Championship team and Women’s Super League team
  • Proactively generate new business through outbound sales efforts including prospecting, cold calling, referrals, and lead follow-up
  • Demonstrate persistence and competitiveness by consistently working toward and exceeding assigned activity and revenue goals
  • Serve as a self-starter who effectively manages time, priorities, and daily sales activity with minimal supervision
  • Utilize CRM systems to accurately track client interactions, sales activity, and pipeline progress
  • Use the ticketing platform to explain seating options, recommend inventory, and complete point-of-sale transactions
  • Set and conduct sales appointments both in-arena and outside the office
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
  • Collaborate with club staff and USL league partners to support ticket sales initiatives and enhance the overall fan experience
  • Build and maintain relationships with a growing book of business to drive retention and long-term value
  • Assist with administrative ticketing functions as needed
  • Support special projects and other duties as assigned
  • Maintain flexibility and adaptability while working non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, events, and game days
  • Uphold a professional image, positive attitude, and team-first mindset


ACTIVITY AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

  • Meet or exceed assigned daily activity standards including a minimum of 80 outbound calls per business day, suggesting no averaging across days unless otherwise approved by leadership
  • Meet or exceed individual sales revenue goals during the 90-day contract period
  • Consistent daily prospecting, follow-up, and pipeline management
  • Accountability for meeting or exceeding call volume, appointment setting, and follow-up standards
  • Accurate logging of all calls, emails, appointments, and outcomes in the CRM
  • Willingness to adapt activity approach based on coaching, performance feedback, and business needs
  • Demonstrate strong work ethic, coachability, and continuous improvement
  • Show enthusiasm, competitiveness, and persistence in all sales efforts
  • Actively contribute to a positive team culture and collaborative sales environment


CONVERSION TO FULL-TIME CONSIDERATION

Conversion to a full-time Account Executive role at the conclusion of the 90-day contract period will be based on, but not limited to, the following factors:


  • Consistent achievement of daily activity expectations including the 80-call minimum
  • Progress toward or achievement of assigned sales revenue goals
  • Demonstrated coachability, reliability, and professionalism
  • Adherence to CRM usage standards and internal processes
  • Alignment with Sporting JAX culture and team values


QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 1–2 years of sales experience preferred, but not required for the right candidate
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle a high volume of outbound and inbound phone calls and emails
  • Strong organizational skills and time management abilities
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, goal-driven sales environment
  • Competitive mindset with a strong desire to succeed and grow professionally
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new processes, systems, and feedback
  • Ability to learn and master CRM and ticketing software platforms
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also operating independently
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of clients, including senior-level decision makers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to build a long-term career in professional sports


WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position may require extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, and navigating stadium environments, including stairs and uneven surfaces. The role also requires working in loud, crowded environments during events and game days.
