Sports Management Internship

Are you passionate about sports and looking to break into the world of professional soccer? Sporting Jax is seeking energetic, motivated, and creative individuals to join our Sports Management Internship Program.

This internship offers hands-on experience across multiple departments within the club, giving you a 360-degree view of what it takes to run a professional soccer team. Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to key projects and game day operations while gaining valuable experience in the sports industry.

Departments & Responsibilities

Marketing & Social Media

• Assist with content creation for social media platforms
• Support marketing campaigns and promotional strategies
• Help with email marketing, community engagement, and fan outreach
  
  

Ticket Sales & Operations

• Make outbound calls to prospective patrons as part of the inside sales team
• Provide support in group ticket sales and customer outreach
• Assist with CRM data entry and tracking sales activity
• Help with box office operations on match days
• Deliver excellent customer service to fans and community partners
  
  

Game Day Operations

• Assist with event setup and breakdown
• Work with game day staff to ensure seamless execution
• Support pre-game, in-game, and post-game logistics
  
  

Merchandising

• Help manage inventory and restocking
• Support online and in-person merchandise sales
• Assist with visual merchandising and retail planning
  
  

Sponsorships

• Assist with sponsor activation and fulfillment
• Help prepare presentations and recap reports
• Support relationship management with partners
  
  

Fan Experience

• Support in-stadium activations and interactive elements
• Help manage fan contests, promotions, and giveaways
• Assist with fan surveys and feedback initiatives
  
  

Broadcasting

• Support live stream production and technical setup
• Assist with content planning, script development, and graphics
• Help coordinate interviews, post-game recaps, and media assets
  
  

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
• Related experience in marketing, sales, or event operations is strongly preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for game days
• A team player with a passion for sports and a strong work ethic
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
