About The Role
The Gas Measurement Technician plays a key role in installing, calibrating, troubleshooting, and maintaining natural gas measurement systems across production and midstream operations. You’ll work directly with EFMs, orifice and turbine meters, ultrasonic meters, and related instrumentation to ensure accurate custody transfer and high-quality operational data. This role offers hands-on experience with specialized equipment, industry standards (AGA, GPA, API), and regulatory requirements (BLM, COGCC), all while supporting the accuracy and reliability of critical measurement systems. About The Role

What You’ll Do
- Install, configure, calibrate, and maintain primary and secondary gas measurement devices, including EFMs and orifice, ultrasonic, and turbine meters;
- Conduct orifice plate inspections, multi-point verifications, and diagnostic assessments to ensure measurement accuracy;
- Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate measurement systems in alignment with AGA, GPA, and API standards;
- Collect and safely transport gas samples with proper chain-of-custody documentation;
- Complete accurate field reports, calibration records, and related documentation in a timely manner;
- Maintain tools, calibration equipment, laptops, and vehicles in safe and reliable condition;
- Coordinate schedules with SPL personnel and customers, communicating updates promptly;
- Support preventive maintenance programs and assist in quality-assurance reviews;
- Collaborate effectively with operations, project management, and client teams;
- Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Applicable experience may be considered in lieu of education;
- Previous experience in gas measurement or a closely related field;
- Prior experience working in a field-based environment, ideally within a mechanical, industrial, oilfield, or measurement-related setting;
- Working knowledge of AGA, GPA, and API standards and relevant BLM/COGCC regulations;
- Vocational/technical training in metering, instrumentation, or process control strongly preferred;
- Experience with EFM software (ROCLINK, PCCU, Test-It, etc.) strongly preferred;
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with hand tools or mechanical equipment;
- Basic computer skills, including email communication, data entry, and operation of mobile and laptop devices;
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record;
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and utilize required PPE.
- This is a full-time position following a rotational schedule of eight days on followed by six days off;
- Must be able to work extended hours, including a variable schedule of eight (8) to sixteen (16) hours daily, as well as overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to support workload demands, client requirements, or unplanned operational needs;
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, including hot, cold, and/or inclement temperature;
- Daily local travel to field locations is required, with occasional overnight and/or out-of-town travel depending on assignment and workload.
