About Us
SPK/Lewis is a full-service Construction Manager and General Contractor. Since 1989, SPK/Lewis has specialized in the coordination and control of interior construction for prestigious Manhattan commercial properties; banks, brokerages, corporate headquarters and retail spaces. Our estimating department is growing, and we are looking for a Junior Estimator to support our estimating team.
This is an ideal role for someone who is eager to learn the estimating process hands-on, and become a key component of a tight-knit team.
Responsibilities
• Assist in reviewing bid drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid forms.
• Distribute bid packages via Procore and manage follow ups with subcontractors.
• Attend pre-bid walkthroughs.
• Maintain and assist in revising standard operating procedures, templates, and internal tools.
• Work closely with estimating team to learn the full process, gradually taking on ownership of defined portions of each bid.
Ideal Candidate Profile
• 1-3 years of experience in construction estimating, construction management, architecture, or engineering.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Self-driven, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Excel and comfortable learning other platforms.
• Ambitious and eager to grow, with the discipline to thrive in a support-focused role.
