SpineSearch is working with a busy and well-established multi-specialty surgical practice in Somerset, NJ in need of a hands-on Insurance & Billing Manager with strong leadership skills and deep knowledge of Personal Injury Protection (PIP), Personal Injury (PI), and Workers' Compensation (WC) billing.

, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and takes pride in ensuring billing accuracy, efficient claims processing, and smooth operational flow between clinical and administrative teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review schedules at least one week in advance, verify insurance, and update billing alerts in the EMR
- Work directly with surgical coordinators and the outsourced billing team to ensure alignment and efficiency
- Communicate with new patients regarding insurance benefits, co-pays, and financial responsibilities
- Manage PIP, PI, and WC claims from verification through settlement or appeal
- Prepare detailed, itemized statements and fee schedules for LOPs and attorney settlements
- Oversee claim submissions, track reprocessing, and assist in resolving payment discrepancies
- Negotiate out-of-network reimbursements
- Supervise billing workflows and staff to ensure accuracy and timely follow-up
- Maintain comprehensive claim and payment logs for audit and tracking purposes
- Review and process EOBs; escalate and resolve underpayments when necessary
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3–5 years of strong PIP and personal injury billing experience (required)
- Prior management or supervisory experience in medical billing (required)
- Solid understanding of EMR systems, CPT coding, and claim workflows
- Proven ability to handle high volume, multitasking, and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills, professionalism, and attention to detail
Salary : $60,000 - $120,000
