A growing neuromonitoring company is seeking an experienced Certified Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) Technologist to support a high-volume surgical program in Stamford, Connecticut. This role involves providing real-time intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring across a range of complex surgical procedures, with a strong emphasis on spine and neurosurgical cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring (IONM) including, but not limited to:
- SSEP, MEP, EMG, EEG, and Train-of-Four
- Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot neuromonitoring equipment in the OR
- Provide continuous real-time monitoring and accurate interpretation of neurophysiologic data
- Communicate critical changes promptly and effectively to the surgical and anesthesia teams
- Collaborate with supervising neurologists and surgeons to ensure patient safety
- Maintain thorough and accurate case documentation and reports
- Adhere to all clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and patient safety guidelines
Case Mix
- High-volume spine (ortho and neuro)
- Neurosurgery and select complex orthopedic procedures
Qualifications
- Active CNIM certification required
- Minimum of 1–2 years of independent IONM experience preferred
- Strong proficiency in spine cases and complex neuromonitoring modalities
- Ability to work independently in the OR environment
- Excellent communication and critical-thinking skills
