Role Overview
The Director will partner closely with orthopedic physician leaders and executive stakeholders to drive strategy, operational excellence, physician engagement, and service line growth. This role balances day-to-day operational oversight with long-term strategic planning, market expansion, and performance optimization across clinical, academic, and business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with physician and executive leadership to define and execute service line strategy
- Oversee day-to-day operations and performance of orthopedic physician practices
- Drive operational efficiency, patient access initiatives, and care delivery optimization
- Support physician recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing practice development
- Lead budgeting, financial performance tracking, and KPI analysis
- Serve as a key liaison across hospital operations, perioperative services, and ancillary departments
- Support growth initiatives including market expansion, outreach, and business development
- Collaborate on space planning, renovations, and new program development
- Represent the service line on hospital committees and enterprise initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, or related) strongly preferred
- 5–10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience within a hospital or health system
- Proven success managing complex clinical operations and physician practices
- Strong strategic, financial, and analytical skill set
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
