Spheros Environmental is seeking an experienced and strategic Benefits and Compensation Manager to design, implement, and manage our total rewards programs. This role ensures our benefits and compensation structures are competitive, compliant, and aligned with our company culture and business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in compensation analysis, benefits administration, and compliance, with the ability to partner with leadership to attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage compensation and benefits programs that support organizational goals and employee engagement.
- Conduct salary benchmarking, market analysis, and compensation surveys to ensure competitive pay structures.
- Support the CHRO with annual compensation planning, including merit increases, bonus structures, and incentive plans.
- Manage benefits programs (health, dental, vision, retirement, wellness, leave policies, etc.), ensuring competitive offerings and cost-effectiveness.
- Serve as the primary contact with benefit providers, brokers, and third-party vendors.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation and benefits (e.g., FLSA, ERISA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA).
- Partner with HR leadership to develop compensation strategies that align with performance management and talent development.
- Lead open enrollment and employee education efforts related to benefits programs.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on compensation and benefits policies.
- Prepare and analyze compensation and benefits reports for leadership decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in total rewards programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in benefits and compensation, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of compensation structures, market pricing, and job evaluation methods.
- In-depth understanding of benefits administration and compliance requirements.
- Analytical mindset with strong Excel and HRIS reporting skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to influence leaders and build trust across the organization.
- Professional certification (CCP, CBP, SHRM-CP/SCP, or CEBS) strongly preferred.
