Solar Ground Mount Construction Supervisor
Location: Salisbury, MD
Position Overview
A growing renewable energy developer is seeking a Solar Ground Mount Construction Supervisor to oversee the construction and installation of commercial and community solar projects. This individual will play a key role in managing field operations, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring safety compliance, and driving projects to successful completion.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of solar construction experience, electrical knowledge, leadership skills, and hands-on field execution experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily construction activities for ground mount and commercial solar projects.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
- Ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules.
- Review and interpret electrical, civil, and mechanical construction drawings.
- Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct site inspections, safety meetings, and progress reviews.
- Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining project timelines.
- Track construction progress and communicate updates to project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety requirements.
- Support project commissioning, turnover, and closeout activities.
Qualifications
- 5 years of construction supervision or construction management experience.
- Solar construction experience required, preferably supporting ground mount, commercial, or community solar projects.
- Strong understanding of solar construction methods, installation practices, and industry standards.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, civil, and mechanical construction drawings.
- Experience managing subcontractors, field crews, and site operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
- OSHA certification or equivalent safety training preferred.
