Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers
- Handle chemical agents following safety protocols to ensure effective sanitation while maintaining a safe environment for all staff and visitors
- Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of supplies, furniture, or equipment with adherence to safe lifting practices
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, ceilings, and fixtures to uphold high standards of hygiene and appearance
- Operate custodial equipment such as vacuums, floor polishers, and steam cleaners efficiently and safely
- Support facilities maintenance activities including minor repairs or reporting issues requiring specialized attention
- Follow safety procedures consistently to prevent accidents or chemical mishandling during cleaning operations
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures
- Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning agents
- Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while practicing safe lifting techniques
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on sanitation standards and safety protocol adherence
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with staff or visitors when needed
- Prior experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is a plus
