Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Arlington, VA (Hybrid/Onsite)
Compensation: $100-$120k
Hybrid: 3 days in office

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Arlington, VA with a multi-billion dollar organization. This opportunity offering competitive hourly pay and the potential for long-term growth within a dynamic organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, with a focus on accruals, joint venture financials, and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Prepare joint venture financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards
- Conduct trial balance fluctuation analysis and identify key variances
- Perform month-over-month (MoM) trend analysis to support financial insights and decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data
- Assist with month-end close and ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Maintain and improve Excel-based models and reports
- Support external audits and provide documentation as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accrual-based accounting
- Advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, etc.)
- Experience with joint venture accounting and financial reporting preferred
- CPA or CPA track is a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Schedule: Full-time
