RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support day-to-day Human Resources operations and provide administrative assistance across multiple HR functions.
- Coordinate recruiting activities, including posting positions, tracking applicants, scheduling interviews, and assisting with pre-employment processes.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation, ensuring all required employment documentation is completed accurately.
- Maintain employee records and update personnel information within HR systems and databases.
- Process and track employee status changes, compensation updates, promotions, transfers, and leave-related documentation.
- Assist with payroll administration by reviewing employee information, timekeeping records, and payroll-related updates.
- Support employee relations initiatives and respond to routine employee inquiries.
- Help coordinate workers’ compensation activities, injury reporting, and related documentation as needed.
- Assist with workplace safety programs, drug screening coordination, and maintenance of compliance records.
- Maintain HR reports, tracking logs, and documentation to support regulatory and company requirements.
- Participate in employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, company events, and other HR projects.
- Deliver professional customer service to employees, managers, and external partners.
- Perform additional administrative and HR-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of DOT compliance requirements, including driver qualification processes and pre-employment screenings.
- Prior experience in Human Resources, recruiting, payroll administration, or a related administrative function preferred.
- Experience maintaining confidential employee information and personnel records.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience working with HRIS, payroll systems, or applicant tracking systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Comfortable working in both office and team-oriented environments.
- Ability to perform occasional lifting and general office-related physical activities.
