SUMMARY
Growing advanced manufacturing organization supporting complex aerospace and defense programs is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee contracts throughout the full lifecycle. This role partners closely with program, business development and leadership teams, supporting proposals, negotiations, contract execution and risk management across government and commercial business. The position offers broad visibility, leadership responsibility and the opportunity to contribute within a technically focused, mission-driven environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead contract administration from proposal development and review through award, modifications, ongoing execution and closeout for complex, multi-year agreements.
- Negotiate contract terms with government customers and industry partners, including pre-award and post-award matters.
- Provide guidance, mentoring and functional support to contracts professionals while helping resolve escalated contractual issues.
- Partner with program managers, business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to interpret contractual obligations, manage scope and address potential risk.
- Review agreements, terms and conditions for alignment with applicable regulations, contractual requirements and internal policies.
- Advise leadership on contractual rights, obligations, business considerations and practical risk-mitigation approaches.
- Support proposal activity and ensure contract requirements are understood and incorporated into program execution.
- Prepare and deliver clear updates and briefings to senior stakeholders on significant contract matters and emerging issues.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain or a related discipline; equivalent relevant education and contract-management experience may be considered.
- 5 years of directly relevant contracts experience, including senior-level exposure to U.S. Government/DoD prime contract administration or management.
- Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS, U.S. Government acquisition requirements and regulations; familiarity with Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs) preferred.
- Experience across multiple agreement and contract structures, including firm-fixed-price, cost-type, commercial and non-commercial, production, development, licensing, nondisclosure and teaming agreements.
- Demonstrated contract drafting, interpretation and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate business and technical risk to leadership.
- Strong judgment, problem-solving, organization, interpersonal and written/verbal presentation skills in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to build productive relationships across management, program teams, functional groups, customers and external partners.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Offimance applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; experience with additional project/database tools helpful.
- Federal contract management certification is a plus; international/commercial contracting, Foreign Military Sales or Direct Commercial Sales experience is also beneficial.
- U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Salary : $100,000 - $110,000
