Spectrum Generations is seeking a Chef's Assistant to join our Nutrition Services team. In this role, you'll help prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for Meals on Wheels recipients and our Social Dining participants.

Monday–Friday Schedule Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule with your weekends largely free. We have a few weekend events each year, but the majority of this work is done during the week.
Typically Done by 3:30 PM Start your day early and enjoy your afternoons with family, friends, and personal interests.

Meaningful Mission Play a direct role in improving the lives of older adults and community members throughout the region.
What You'll Do
- Prepare a variety of meals and menu items in a commercial kitchen environment.
- Follow recipes to ensure quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction.
- Assist with order delivery and learn professional receiving.
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and health regulation standards.
- Support Meals on Wheels, Social Dining, and our Adult Day Services.
- Train and work alongside volunteers and new team members.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen operation.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Culinary training preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of food service and cooking experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
