Purpose
The Assistant Center Director supports the Center Director in managing the day-to-day operations of all center activities, ensuring efficient and effective program delivery. This position supports internal coordination, external communications, and organizational effectiveness by managing schedules, communications, documentation, and stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate is highly organized, mission-driven, and able to maintain professionalism and discretion in a dynamic environment. In addition, this candidate will adhere to all HIPAA rules and regulations as appropriate within the center.
Core Responsibilities Summary
- Center Operations: Coordinate daily activities, communications, and logistics; act as lead in director’s absence; manage safety and morale initiatives; support fundraising and building access.
- Financial Oversight: Track and report center finances, process invoices, and prepare credit card reports.
- Program & Supply Coordination: Order supplies, support consumer programs and wellness classes, create promotional materials, and maintain facility readiness.
- Data Management: Ensure accurate entry and tracking of center activities and consumer referrals in the WellSky database.
MINIMUM JOB EXPERIENCE
- 4-year degree desired; may be substituted with education and related work experience.
- Two or more years management or center experience.
- Two or more years of Office Management experience preferred.
- Experience working with older adults and/or individuals with disabilities.
- Finance tracking, program coordination and fundraising experience desired.
- Individuals need to be able to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced work environment. Possess excellent communication skills, knowledge of accounting practices, time management and critical thinking skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
