The IT Operations Specialist II/ISSO installs, configures, and troubleshoots desktop PCs, laptops, thin clients, servers, networks, and related software and peripherals; possesses a basic working knowledge of computer networking and network troubleshooting; ensures all PC hardware, software and network connectivity/access problems are resolved in a timely manner by prioritizing support tickets; including in-person, remote or phone support. Additionally, this position has the responsibility of acting as the ISSO for classified systems located in the facility; therefore, a security clearance or the ability to attain one is required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Installs, configures, upgrades, and maintains end user computer systems and user access rights per corporate standards.
- Performs network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
- Supports hardware and software components as required and can troubleshoot PCs, printers, copiers, switches and servers, and phones.
- Installs, configures, upgrades, and maintains end user computer and phone systems.
- Provides support and training for standard company software.
- Possesses technical knowledge and can administer a network operating system environment.
- Interfaces with IT management and other IT personnel for overall equipment standardization and hardware requirements.
- Performs weekly audits of in scope systems.
- Maintains monthly systems and malware updates for in scope systems.
- Performs quarterly security assessments of in scope systems.
- Interfaces with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).
- Performs other ISSO duties as directed by the Corporate ISSM.
- Supports the infrastructure team and assists with configurations and deployments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Associate's Degree
- Experience Years: 3-7 years
- Experience Type: Information Technology OR Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certificates/Licenses: Obtain secret level security clearance and will need to complete Risk Management Framework (RMF) training.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- CompTIA Security
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees in the organization.
- Knowledge of ITAR and EAR regulations.
- Certifications: Security
- Holds secret level security clearance.
- Familiarity with or trained in Risk Management Framework related to classified systems.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/SCHEDULE:
- On-site in a manufacturing facility.
- Tuesday - Friday, 10 hours daily.
