Job Specifications:
Title: Technical Support Tech
Pay Rate: $24.89/hour on w2
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Location: New Carlisle, IN (Onsite)
Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders only)
Note: Comfortable to workdays/nights/weekends as needed (main shifts are M-F or Sun-Wed)
Job Description:
- Responsible for labeling and patching cables to switches and hand off to client customers.
- Start to finish server racks.
- Provides support to end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems.
- Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support.
- Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
Require Skills:
- May require an associate's degree in a related area and 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Must Haves:
- Fiber cable and CAT5 and CAT6 cables
- Needs to be able to go up and down ladders easily and be on their feet all day and lift over 40 pounds consistently.
