Title: IT Systems Analyst
Location: Owatonna, MN
Duration: 6 Months (Contract to hire)
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Analyst who excels in understanding business needs, translating them into technical requirements, and ensuring solutions are designed and delivered to meet organizational goals. They take ownership of results, navigate ambiguity confidently, and work effectively across teams to drive clarity and alignment.
Responsibilities
Analysis & Requirements
- Lead the elicitation, documentation, and validation of business and system requirements.
- Translate business needs into detailed functional and non?functional requirements.
Solution Design & Technical Collaboration
- Partner with architects, developers, project managers, and business SMEs to design effective and scalable solutions.
- Participate in technical design reviews and challenge assumptions to ensure solutions meet requirements and follow architectural standards.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Ensure stories are ready for development and validated through testing.
- Develop test scenarios/cases to validate requirements and solution functionality.
Collaboration & Communication
- Serve as a primary liaison between business partners and IS teams.
- Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Development
- Analyze complex systems and workflows to identify gaps, dependencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Seek continuous improvement in processes, systems, and team collaboration.
- Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and other Agile ceremonies as needed.
Qualifications
- 5 years of systems analysis experience supporting complex technology projects.
- Strong understanding of system design, technical architecture, and software development lifecycle concepts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities.
Additional Beneficial Experience
- Knowledge of the insurance industry is helpful but not required.
Salary : $50 - $65
