Job Summary
Reporting to the Center Director, the Transportation Supervisor oversees all aspects of the transportation program. This includes coordinating daily transportation for participants, managing schedules, and supervising drivers and dispatch staff.
The role is also responsible for fleet management, including vehicle maintenance and vendor coordination, as well as ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective operations that meet departmental budget goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, hire, train, and support transportation staff including drivers and dispatchers
- Manage daily transportation schedules for participants, including medical appointments and center visits
- Coordinate delivery of meals, medical equipment, and other essential items
- Ensure clear communication between transportation staff and care teams
- Oversee and maintain transportation scheduling systems and participant records
- Monitor staffing levels, overtime, and operational efficiency
- Manage fleet operations including maintenance, repairs, and vendor relationships
- Ensure all vehicles are safe, compliant, and properly maintained
- Assist with budgeting and manage department expenses
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with care teams to support participant needs
- Support quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with safety standards
Qualifications
Education & Certifications
- Valid driver’s license required
- CDL preferred
Experience
- 2 years of supervisory or administrative experience in transportation
- 5 years in the transportation industry preferred
- Experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting is a plus
Skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of transportation safety and compliance requirements
- Experience with scheduling software and fleet management
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in a healthcare and adult day center setting
- Requires regular communication with staff, participants, and vendors
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as needed
- May involve a fast-paced environment with occasional stressful situations
Additional Requirements
- Must meet health clearance and immunization requirements prior to working with participants
- Must follow all safety, confidentiality, and compliance guidelines
- Must be Bilingual Korean
Salary : $85,000 - $92,000
