What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Engineer position at Spectra Tech, Inc.?
Job Overview:
Process engineer will be performing design and calculations for a new nuclear facility. We are looking for a process engineer to support facility and process layout designs. Candidate will need to have experience designing processes for liquid, evaporating and mixed chemicals. Will need to know how to pump chemicals around, size pumps and pipes, set up tanks and sequences to achieve the process
Other duties will include:
- Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, Process Flow Diagrams, General Arrangement Drawings
- Equipment (compressors, chillers, pumps, etc.) sizing calculations
- Process line sizing calculations
- Control valve, pressure relief-device and orifice sizing calculations
- Equipment and Instrument datasheets
- Vendor coordination for selection of instrumentation and equipment.
Qualifications/Experience
- B.S. in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree preferred
UF6 or centrifuge design experience highly desired
Education Requirements
- BS or Higher degree preferred
- Experience Level: 10 years
Work will be remote with occasional visits to office in Oak Ridge, TN. required.
