Process Engineer

DSJ Global is currently partnered with an industry leading label and packaging manufacturer who is looking to add a Process Engineer to their growing team in Knoxville, TN. You will be responsible for developing process engineering capabilities and driving efficiency. The successful candidate will be able to design and improve production processes in order to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support across technical services, production, quality assurance, and project management.
• Develop, configure, and optimize manufacturing processes from concept to post-delivery application.
• Evaluate and improve methods, material usage, tooling, and equipment capabilities to enhance quality and yield.
• Use data-driven analysis to identify gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive timely implementation of countermeasures for process issues.
• Optimize workforce, workspace, and equipment utilization for maximum efficiency.
• Lead improvement projects using Lean methodologies and tools.
• Investigate new processes, materials, and technologies; provide training as needed.
• Establish robust process control methodologies and maintain process documentation.
• Represent operations in new product development to ensure manufacturability and compliance with specifications.

Requirements

• 4 years of experience as a process or manufacturing engineer in a printing, packaging, or manufacturing environment.

• Direct experience in graphics, flexographic, rotogravure, or lithographic printing a strong preference.

• Knowledge of validation, installation, troubleshooting, and equipment setup.
• Familiarity with process engineering software and Lean principles.
• Experience leading technical resources to maintain high productivity levels.
