Overview
Account Managers are among the most important employees at Specialty Print Communications (“SPC”). They are involved in the entire life cycle of all jobs SPC produces. Account Managers gather specifications, art and other data from clients and SPC’s internal sales force, interpret that information and coordinate with production teams and schedulers to ensure that jobs are produced effectively, efficiently and on time.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Serve as the central point of communication between all departments and clients on highly specialized commercial printing projects.
- Compare estimates to client purchase orders, advise of any discrepancies and ensure that costs are adjusted as required.
- Coordinate pre-production planning meetings as projects come in to ensure they will be produced efficiently, effectively and on time.
- Create accurate press layouts per estimated running specifications.
- Create folding/stitching mock-ups as required.
- Assign lots and codes for all versions of a job to create an effective and understandable work order.
- Fill out job tickets with fully comprehensive instructions, and distribute copies to all departments as required.
- Provide clearly marked job support materials to all departments.
- Track deliveries and samples.
- Create purchase orders for outside services required per the estimates and forward them to the proper authorized purchasing manager for approval.
- Coordinate the ordering of dies, packaging, cartons or any other materials needed.
- Review proofs and correct errors prior to releasing to clients for approvals.
- Mark-up proofs with special information (e.g., perfs, scores, die-cuts, remoist or spot glue applications, scratch-offs, spot varnish, UV or aqueous coatings), send to clients and track their delivery and returns.
- Provide proofs as mock-ups for the bindery and plant to follow for finishing.
- Mark all color OK proofs or provide marked-up color samples for press to follow.
- Get final signed off approvals from clients before releasing job into production.
- Collect all data and job tickets at completion of project and submit to accounting for billing with any additional information required to accurately close out job within 48-hours of completion.

Requirements/Qualifications
· Experience in a print production environment.
· Demonstrated project management experience
· Understand of print workflow processes (offset, digital, etc.), paper types, ink systems and finishing techniques
· Ability to manage interdepartmental relationship
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Expected salary range of $72,000 to $85,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k), health insurance and Paid Time Off.
