Specialty Pipe Systems LLC is a growing pipe fabrication and welding company serving industrial and commercial customers. We specialize in stainless steel and carbon steel piping for boiler systems, ammonia systems, water lines, sanitary process piping, gas lines, and other specialized applications.
Important Experience Requirement
Please do not apply unless you have at least three years of GTAW/TIG pipe-welding experience. This is not an entry-level welding position.
Responsibilities
- Perform GTAW/TIG welding on stainless steel Schedule 10 pipe, carbon steel pipe, and sanitary process piping.
- Fit, assemble, and weld piping components according to drawings and project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, weld symbols, and fabrication details.
- Produce consistent, high-quality welds that meet applicable codes and customer requirements.
- Inspect completed welds for accuracy, quality, penetration, and overall workmanship.
- Use calipers, levels, tape measures, and other tools to ensure accurate measurements and fit-up.
- Work closely with other team members to complete projects safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of GTAW/TIG pipe-welding experience required.
- Five or more years of professional welding experience preferred.
- Proven experience welding stainless steel and carbon steel pipe.
- Sanitary process-piping experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and technical specifications.
- Strong pipe-fitting and mechanical skills.
- Familiarity with applicable welding codes, procedures, and quality standards.
- Ability to produce high-quality welds in a consistent and timely manner.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Ability to lift and handle pipe, fittings, and equipment and remain standing for extended periods.
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
