About Us
Specialty Pipe Systems LLC is a growing pipe fabrication and welding company serving industrial and commercial customers. We specialize in stainless steel and carbon steel piping for boiler systems, ammonia systems, water lines, sanitary process piping, gas lines, and other specialized applications.
We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Construction Laborer to assist our welders and pipefitters in the shop and on job sites.
Work-Environment Notice
This position requires working both indoors and outdoors throughout the year. Applicants must be willing and able to work in hot, cold, wet, snowy, windy, dusty, and other changing weather and job-site conditions.
Work may also take place around active construction areas, industrial facilities, mechanical rooms, elevated work areas, and other physically demanding environments.
Responsibilities
- Assist welders and pipefitters with pipe fabrication, installation, and general construction activities.
- Load, unload, carry, stage, and organize pipe, fittings, tools, equipment, and other materials.
- Measure, mark, cut, grind, clean, and prepare piping materials as directed.
- Safely operate hand tools and power tools, including grinders, saws, drills, and related equipment.
- Help position, align, support, and secure piping and equipment during fabrication and installation.
- Assist with job-site setup, material handling, cleanup, and daily organization.
- Maintain clean and safe shop and job-site work areas.
- Follow instructions, project requirements, and all company and job-site safety procedures.
- Work effectively with welders, pipefitters, supervisors, customers, and other trades.
- Perform other general labor and construction-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous construction, industrial, mechanical, pipefitting, or welding-related experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability and willingness to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to safely lift and carry heavy pipe, fittings, tools, and materials.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Basic mechanical ability and willingness to learn.
- Ability to safely use common hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.
- Strong attention to safety and job-site awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn pipe fabrication, fitting, and installation techniques.
