Experience & Key Responsibilities:
- Verify patient insurance benefits and explain coverage and financial details clearly and compassionately.
- Review treatment fees, payment options, and create customized payment plans for patients and families.
- Assist families with understanding treatment costs and financial responsibilities prior to beginning care.
- Process patient payments and maintain accurate financial records in the practice management system.
- Work collaboratively with the front desk, clinical team, and scheduling staff to support seamless patient experiences.
- Communicate professionally with patients regarding billing questions, insurance claims, and account status.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Previous experience in dental or medical financial coordination or patient billing preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Comfort discussing financial arrangements and insurance coverage with patients and families.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Proficiency with practice management software and standard office technology.
