This mid-sized nonprofit organization in the manufacturing and education sector is seeking a contract-to-hire Tax Accountant to manage tax compliance across multiple entities (including nonprofit filings), support month-end close, and partner closely with leadership to strengthen reporting, systems, and audit readiness.

What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local returns (including nonprofit filings).
- Support audits, reconciliations, and monthly close.
- Research new tax regulations and improve internal processes.
- Partner with the Controller and CFO on special projects and reporting initiatives.
You’ll Succeed Here If You:
- Have 2–5 years of tax experience (public accounting preferred).
- Hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA-eligible a plus).
- Enjoy variety and want exposure to both nonprofit and for-profit entities.
- Take pride in accuracy, organization, and continuous learning.
