Overview

A senior leadership opportunity for an experienced procurement professional with strong strategic, analytical, and vendor‑management capabilities. This role oversees purchasing operations, trade partner relations, contract management, and cost‑control initiatives to support efficient, on‑budget residential homebuilding.

Key Responsibilities

• Purchasing Leadership — Lead the purchasing team, guide contract negotiations, and maintain strong relationships with trade partners, manufacturers, and distributors.
• Vendor Management — Recruit, onboard, and evaluate trade partners to ensure quality performance and compliance with company standards.
• Cost Strategy — Drive cost‑awareness initiatives, analyze variances, manage custom pricing, and implement strategic sourcing to reduce expenses.
• Contract Oversight — Maintain contracts, reduce reliance on VPOs, and control cost overruns from field requests.
• Design Coordination — Manage product offerings, pricing strategies, and support design studio staff during client sessions.
• Rebate Administration — Oversee rebate programs with trade partners and manufacturers.

Requirements

• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing management, ideally within residential construction
• Strong negotiation and contract‑management skills
• Effective supplier‑relationship management
• Team leadership experience
• Solid understanding of residential building plans and materials
• Strong communication and analytical abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience
• Minimum two years of experience negotiating residential homebuilding contracts
