JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Custom Construction Manager
Job Summary: The Custom Construction Manager will act as primary interface between clients and construction team. Duties will include but are not limited to developing project estimates, timelines, managing change orders, overseeing and managing the work of trade partners, tracking job progress vs. estimated budget and timeline projections, preparing invoices, coordinating the procurement of materials, attending weekly progress meetings, establishing relationships with industry professionals, attending assigned training sessions and achieving industry accreditations.
Key job elements:
1. Interface between clients & construction team – manage all expectations and communications
between client and construction team, act as onsite representative, and maintain clean and
organized job sites.
2. Develop timelines – Referring to original estimate and scope of work, create project timelines
that will serve as a guide for client and construction team expectations.
3. Manage change requests – Create change requests for all tasks that are not included in the
original scope of work. Ensure that work on said change request does not begin until client
approves additional cost and timeline expectations.
4. Manage trade partners– Oversee the work of trade partners to ensure quality standards are
met. Schedule all project activities with trades and be proactive when making schedule
adjustments.
5. Manage materials – Coordinate and schedule timely delivery of project materials. Verify
quantities of materials requested are sufficient to complete related work activities. Verify
materials received from vendors match the order and are received in good condition. Return for
credit as soon as possible any extra materials, as feasible.
6. Prepare invoices – Work with Corporate Administrator to prepare client invoices per project
schedule.
7. Track job progress – Consistently track job progress against budgeted time and material costs.
Manage client’s expectations throughout.
8. Attend meetings – Attend and contribute to weekly progress meetings, client progress meetings
and team meetings, as scheduled.
9. Manage relationships – Establish and maintain relationships with architects, designers, vendors,
trade partners, and other industry professionals
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
