The Professional Development Manager oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of instructional coaching and Professional Development services across multiple public and non-public school districts. This role serves as the operational and strategic hub for coordinating coaching personnel, maintaining compliance with funding requirements (Title I, Title II, etc.), managing relationships with school and district leaders, and ensuring the delivery of high-impact educational support services. The manager plays a key role in aligning resources, tracking outcomes, and supporting specialists who work directly with school communities.

Responsibilities

  • PD Specialist Management
    • Build and lead a high-performing team of expert educators passionate about supporting fellow teachers and school leaders.
    • Oversee coaching programs across multiple schools and regions, ensuring schedules, logs, and time entries comply with HR and funding policies.
    • Review and reconcile coaching activity logs; ensure consistency with pay systems and internal trackers.
    • Monitor coach assignments and school coverage; support documentation of coaching outcomes like evaluation rubrics and End-of-Year reports.
    • Professional Development Coordination

    • Partner with school leaders to design meaningful PD aligned to school goals, teacher needs, and compliance requirements (Title I, Title II, etc.).
    • Coordinate end-to-end logistics: develop proposals, secure approvals, align presenters, and manage material distribution and survey setup.
    • A nalyze session feedback to ensure high-quality delivery and continuous improvement.
    • Hiring & Staffing

    • Collaborate with regional and national teams to recruit and onboard talented instructional coaches and PD specialists.
    • Ensure accurate documentation, including stipends and presenter assignments aligned to funding source and expertise.
    • People Management

    • Directly manage PD Supervisors, PD Coordinators and a team of 10 PD Specialists.
    • Provide ongoing training and support through regular check-ins and the delivery of actionable performance feedback.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, shared learning, and professional growth.
    • Adjust assignments and workloads dynamically to meet school needs and team capacity.
    • Client Relationship Management

    • Serve as a trusted partner to school and district leaders, offering responsive, solutions-oriented communication.
    • Align coaching and PD services to broader organizational priorities and state-level improvement initiatives.
    • Compliance & Reporting

    • Track all coaching and PD activities in internal systems to ensure data accuracy and compliance with billing/reporting requirements.
    • Maintain alignment across schedules, logs, and revenue documentation to support timely invoicing and reporting.

Qualifications

What we’ll need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in educational program management, instructional coaching, or professional development coordination.
  • Experience managing a team of 10 direct reports, with the ability to coach, support, and evaluate staff across multiple locations.
  • Deep understanding of federal education funding streams (Title I, Title II, SIG).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to compliance and documentation.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and collaborating across teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to travel occasionally as needed.

Starting from USD $80,000.00/Yr.
