What you would do
Typical responsibilities could include:
- Managing clinical trial protocols and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (FDA, ICH-GCP, 21 CFR Part 11)
- Coordinating trial initiation, ongoing monitoring, and closeout activities across multiple sites
- Maintaining detailed trial documentation, case report forms and audit trails to ensure data integrity
- Communicating with principal investigators, site coordinators and sponsor teams to address protocol deviations and safety issues
- Conducting regular site audits and quality reviews to verify adherence to Good Clinical Practice standards
- Preparing regulatory submissions, safety reports and trial status updates for oversight committees
- Identifying and escalating risks to patient safety, data quality or compliance
- Collaborating with quality assurance and medical teams to implement corrective and preventive actions
What you could bring
Most roles of this type require the following:
Must-have
- 10–15 years of clinical research, trial management or related life sciences experience
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical trial protocols, regulatory requirements and GCP standards
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry or a related field
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, ICH guidelines and clinical trial data management
- Proven ability to manage multiple trials simultaneously and coordinate across geographically dispersed teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with clinical trial management systems and data integrity tools
- Authorization to work in the United States
Nice-to-have
- Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA) or equivalent certification
- Master's degree in a life sciences discipline
- Experience with Phase I–IV trials across diverse therapeutic areas
- Familiarity with electronic data capture (EDC) systems and regulatory documentation platforms
