What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

• Leading and coaching a QA team to deliver consistent testing coverage across product and compliance requirements
• Developing and executing test plans, automation strategies, and quality metrics aligned with business objectives
• Managing defect workflows, prioritization and resolution tracking to support on-time delivery
• Establishing and maintaining quality standards, test protocols and compliance validation processes
• Collaborating with engineering, product and operations to identify testing bottlenecks and process improvements
• Reporting on quality metrics, test coverage and risk assessments to leadership
• Contributing to the selection and implementation of QA tools and test automation frameworks

What you could bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

• 5–10 years' experience in QA, testing, quality assurance or related quality operations roles
• 2–5 years leading and coaching QA or testing teams
• Hands-on expertise in test planning, test case design, defect management and quality metrics
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks and the ability to evaluate automation opportunities
• Familiarity with compliance and validation requirements relevant to your industry
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management or a related field
• ISTQB Certified Tester or ISTQB Advanced Tester certification (or equivalent demonstrable expertise)
• Authorization to work in the United States

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated testing into deployment workflows
• Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies
• Background in regulated industries (medical device, pharmaceutical, fintech)
